i do allow myself the grace of posting my romantic thoughts at the end of a significant evening.

i think it is important, especially when symbols arise.

and the idea of a group of close friends encircling a newly married couple, singing aloud to them our desire to love and to be loved - offering a kind of protection of them, representing community - and of course, a circle, made of broken human beings, representing the endless possibilities and vulnerabilities of reconciliation, redemption, and love - almost feels like fictitious, like it could only be written.

but in order for it to be more than romantic, more than just symbolic - we must indeed RECOGNIZE our RESPONSIBILITY, and we must take our RESPONSIBILITY seriously! only then may we be able to subvert, rather than perpetuate, this relational holocaust we find ourselves in.
