Bonnaroo announced it's schedule today.
What matters most to me, is that Sigur Ros will be playing Saturday Night from 1:00am to 3:00am.
That is why I pay good money to go to Bonnaroo each year. This will be my third year.
K'Naan on Thursday, Swell Season and My Morning Jacket (another midnight show) on Friday, Iron & Wine and Sigur Ros on Saturday, and usually just exhaustion on Sunday.
Bluegrass Allstars, M.I.A., Metallica, Death Cab, Robert Plant & Allison Krauss, Avett Brothers, Orchestra Baobab, and others to be excited about as well.
A few sacrifices will potentially need to be made - Pearl Jam, being one of them. Thankfully, I have seen the longest set they have ever played (4 hours, at least).
Bonnaroo was named Best Festival by Rolling Stone, and Radiohead named Best Festival Band also by Rolling Stone.
I was there, for that, in 2006. They played most of "In Rainbows" - 28 songs in all. Their longest set to date. It was the most painful and beautiful musical experience of my life. I posted the final encore below (Everything in it's Right Place). I was unable to walk afterwards, my feet were in so much pain. It felt like walking on knives. I somehow dragged myself to our campsite (about a mile away). Excruciatingly beautiful.
