On the death of Heath Ledger - normally, I close my ears to celebrity what-have-you - but Heath Ledger was a good actor, and good actors are important people to me.

so, it's one thing to act out an intense homosexual sex scene, when your not homosexual - but the bigger element to me is (and always is) the tension between the characters portrayed by Heath and Jake, throughout the film. Sexual tension, emotional tension, spiritual tension - these are not acting techniques. If these tensions are accomplished in film, then you have risen to a level above 75% of actors and actresses. Heath and Jake absolutely nailed it (and each other!) - and I think if you replace one of those actors, the film would have had great potential to fail. I think Ang Lee knew that.

Intensely, I look forward to seeing Heath Ledger in his final performance as The Joker.
