So...the Jewish Rabbi never showed...we are under the assumption that he "got Word" about how heavy my beard was (especially for a Christian in "these parts").

I hung out with a bunch of frustrated "youth groupers" wanting to cast fire on the elderly folk of their baptist churches because they felt they were being judged without trial. I tried to narrow the wide spectrum of their deconstructive thoughts...and hopefully a few concepts stuck. Who knows.

Our family certainly had a beautiful weekend with friends of ours from Michigan (Chris and Rebecca...who we met in Boston)...Grilled Bread (from Simply in Season...bread grilled over charcoal) and we shared it with wine, grilled salmon, peas and corn, on a homemade quilt in our budding/blooming backyard...birds, bees, clouds imagined to be puppets and dinosaurs, and a very curious Magnolia.

We had much to talk about...we are grateful that they made such a trip...and they are grateful for all the new(er) music that I was happy to unload on them for their long journey home.

I needed the refreshment before starting my new job this Tuesday. I got a job with Pathways, inc. over in Ashland, KY as a service coordinator/case manager/counselor...I will be traveling to homes and schools in rural kentucky (Louisa). Thank God.

I am also volunteering at the Community Hospice in Ashland as a volunteer chaplain/counselor.

This is certainly our home for a season...we have decided to embrace Kentucky...jumping right into Wendell Berry, the Red River Gorge (Soon), and Louisville (as much as possible).

do it
